Fast neutrons are fired into the roof
These neutrons collide with the hydrogen atoms and are “thermalized” or slowed down
The rate of collisions is measured over a pre-set time
A periodic rate meter counts the collisions
The higher the count the higher the moisture content in the roof

First of all the roof is carefully measured and cad drawings are produced.
The roof area is then divided into a grid and careful measurements are taken at each grid reference.
The data is then fed into a computer where our mapping software produces a moisture map.
We can then overlay the moisture map with a scale cad drawing to precisely pinpoint problem areas.
